The pink/purple birds/ducks indicate different types of marine sanctuaries or estuary area zones/nature reserve areas.
Larger (regular font) number = full depth unit. When you are seeing a depth number with multiple digits where it looks like you have one larger and one smaller number, treat it as a decimal. If the location in question only has an SD map available from LakeMaster, then the Navionics map could very well be better, providing higher detail and more accuracy. Quality of mapping detail For some lakes, Navionics is better, while for others LakeMaster is better. They can’t even do it on the navigation charts.
The idea that Navionics is “pretty good” at filtering out crap data is laughable. Navionics has done a pretty good job at the ones where it has happened to myself of not including that data.
